Organization

Our client is an international bank, active in banking, asset management, leasing, insurance, and real estate. The department where you will be working is the partner and only source of supply within the bank for all Finance & Risk data for internal decision making and regulatory compliance. They also report directly to the regulators (DNB, ECB, and other European banking authorities and supervisors). These regulators are rapidly adapting their requirements. This gives the department more responsibilities, such as registering internal data flows and monitoring data quality.

 

Function

Your responsibilities include the delivery of financial information for the bank’s external reporting. Your work also forms the foundation on which senior management makes policy decisions. You will also focus on preparing financial reports for the bank and reporting to supervisors of Financial Reporting (FINREP) and financial statements for the bank and reporting to the regulators (De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and European Central Bank (ECB)). You are also involved in streamlining and automating new and existing processes, aimed at improving both the efficiency and quality of financial reporting activities.

Furthermore, you focus on collecting, analyzing, and understanding large amounts of Finance and Risk data. With your strong analytical and communicative skills, you know how to make connections between different data and create order and insight. You take responsibility and you like to work independently. You work through the LEAN methodology to create value for the customer in all processes and improve the efficiency of the entire team.

 

Requirements

To be successful as a Junior Finance & Risk Data Analyst, you are or have:

  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting & Control, Business Administration, Business Economics, or similar;
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills;
  • Affinity with financial systems and processes;
  • Affinity with financial products;
  • Result-oriented, independent, and a real team player;
  • Persuasive and easily establishes contact with colleagues;
  • Proactive personality and communicative skills.

  • The gross monthly salary can reach up to approximately €3.400 (36 hours), depending on knowledge and experience;
  • Extra study budget of €1.500 for attending external education and/or training;
  • 22,5 annual vacation days plus paid holidays and 8,33% vacation allowance;
  • 13th month;
  • Participation in non-contributory pension plan;
  • Full commuting allowance.
